School Board

The Estacada School District's School Board consists of seven members voted by the Estacada School District community. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm in Estacada High School Room 35.

The School Board has the following major responsibilities:
   ▪ Set the vision and goals for the school district.
   ▪ Adopt policies that give the district direction to set priorities and achieve its goals.
   ▪ Hire and evaluate the superintendent.
   ▪ Adopt and oversee the annual budget.

The Estacada School District is committed to having transparent, easily accessible board meetings. All past board minutes and future meeting agendas can be viewed via BoardBook. All meetings are livestreamed via YouTube.

Commenting Guidelines

The School Board welcomes in-person and written public comments during its meetings. Please submit your public testimony requests by 1:00 PM the day of the board meeting. You can provide public testimony by providing in person comments, submitting written comments, or by joining our board meetings virtually to comment.

The Estacada School Board values community input and involvement. We ask that all who present to the board model respectful behavior so that a variety of viewpoints and perspectives can be shared.

Each commenter will be given three minutes to speak. Speakers may offer objective criticism of district operations and programs, but the Board will not hear complaints concerning individual district personnel. The chair will direct the visitor to the appropriate means for Board consideration and disposition of legitimate complaints involving individuals.

People in attendance are asked not to interrupt a commenter’s testimony or the board meeting.

The window to sign up to present public comments closes at 1:00 PM on the day of the board meeting. Only selected commenters are allowed to speak. The time cannot be given or shared with another commenter. If the commenter attempts to speak for more than three minutes, the Board Chair will issue a single warning. If the commenter continues to speak, the commenter will be muted and/or removed from the meeting.
