Superintendent's Letter

On behalf of the Estacada School District, I am pleased to introduce our district’s newly adopted strategic plan. This planning document will chart the course for our district’s success, and shape our focus and priorities over the next five years. The second chapter of Envision Estacada Schools 2030 begins now. The plan has been designed to build on our strengths and traditions, while providing a road map with powerful actions to continue to improve and transform our district into a premier place to work and learn.

The strategic plan presented here is the result of a collaborative effort involving input from diverse stakeholders—parents, students, educators, staff, community members, and partners—who have generously shared their insights, aspirations, and expertise. Almost 1000 voices were heard throughout the process of creating this plan, and it is a testament to the collective values, passion, and commitment of our entire community.

Throughout the process of creating this plan we heard themes around areas where our organization is already excelling, and areas where we must strive for continuous improvement. During the first chapter of Envision Estacada Schools 2030, which sunset in 2023, we experienced incredible wins and growth. Our district reached record graduation rates, maintained an industry leading employee retention rate, and was celebrated as an Oregon Top Workplace. We must continue this path of improvement to ensure that each and every child in our district experiences success.

The strategic plan outlined here details our shared vision for the Estacada School District. It outlines our core values, identifies key objectives, and charts a course to address emerging challenges and opportunities. It encompasses various dimensions of education, including student success, people and culture, engaged families and community, safety and operational services, and sustainable finances and accountability.

The success of this plan relies not just on its creation, but on the efforts and active participation of each stakeholder.
