Growth and Capacity Committee (NOW IN PROGRESS)

As our schools face significant overcrowding due to a bond measure that did not pass, we need to reevaluate and adjust school boundaries. This committee will explore options for redistributing student enrollment to relieve overcrowded schools while considering community ties and the geographic needs of our district. Your input will be crucial in shaping a fair and effective boundary plan that supports all students.

The Estacada School District RISE Advisory Committee is being created in alignment with Senate Bill 732 to ensure every student in our community feels included, supported, and valued. This committee will help break down barriers that have historically made it harder for some students and families to succeed, especially those from diverse cultural backgrounds, different abilities, or underserved communities.

The goal is to create a welcoming environment where every student feels seen, heard, and empowered to thrive.

What You'll Do
As a committee member, you’ll focus on three key areas:

Advising on Policies, Practices, and Decisions

Review district policies and practices to ensure they are fair and inclusive.

Provide recommendations to district leaders and the school board about how policies impact underserved student populations.

Analyzing Data to Understand Student Needs

Review data on student performance, attendance, and other factors to identify disparities and systemic barriers.

Use this data to recommend actionable solutions that better serve all students, especially those facing challenges.

Shaping Responses to School-Specific Situations

Represent the voices of diverse community members, ensuring all perspectives are heard and included in solutions.
