Back-To-School

 Dear Estacada Community,

As summer begins to wind down and the first day of school approaches, I would like to extend a warm welcome back to our students, families, staff, and every member of the Estacada community who supports our schools in both big and small ways. Our schools are stronger because of you. Estacada’s schools are truly the heart of this community. Whether you're a parent, a neighbor, a local business owner, or simply someone who cheers on our students from the sidelines, your partnership plays a vital role in making Estacada a place where young people can thrive.

This year, we continue to celebrate meaningful progress: students are achieving at higher levels, staff are innovating in the classroom, we are expanding our career-connected learning opportunities, and our support systems for children are stronger than ever. These successes are happening despite real challenges, especially overcrowded schools and aging facilities.

With continued enrollment growth and the failure of our recent bond measure, it's clear that we must take steps to ensure our schools remain safe, effective learning environments for all students. This year, our district will continue a comprehensive planning process to reconfigure how we use our school buildings and spaces. These changes will not take effect until the 2026–2027 school year, but planning and community engagement work will happen throughout this year. We will be reaching out throughout the year to ensure every voice is heard. Your input will help guide a path forward that supports and centers student success.

Thank you for your continued support. Together, we’ll keep building a future where every Estacada student succeeds.

With gratitude,
Ryan Carpenter
