Estacada is growing. More families are moving in, new homes are being built, and student enrollment is on the rise. Some of our schools are over capacity and experiencing crowding. While a school bond to expand long-term capacity did not pass, we still have an obligation to serve every student—and want to serve all students well. In May of 2025, the Estacada School Board approved a plan to reduce some of the overcrowding. The plan will be put into place for the 2026-2027 school year. During the 2025-2026 school year, the district will facilitate committee work to help guide decisions related to student transitions, transportation logistics, and providing a consistent and positive student experience. Committee sign-up opportunities will begin early next school year.
